After a week of rain we had a glorious morning at Garvey Park to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the charter of our Club. President Krys launched our web site www.si-helena.org.au at our brunch. There was a presentation to Jo, Joan and Olga of a pewter pencil pots inscribed with the Soroptimist logo in thanks for their years of service to Soroptimist International of Helena.
The fundraising Fashion Parade will be on May 18th at the Guilford Landing, 1030 for 1100 start. Fashions are presented by Kimbo’s. A 2-course lunch is included. The monies raised will aid Royal Flying Doctor Service and Assistance Dogs of Western Australia. Lesley from Assistance Dogs of Western Australia with demo dog Flossy will talk to us about what they do. Tickets are $40.

We are now getting ready for the Conference of Clubs to be held in Chiang Rai. We are deciding how our delegate will vote on the various motions that have been put forward and on the election of office bearers. Two of our members are up for positions in the federation; we wish them well and hope they will be elected.
We meet on the third Tuesdays of the month at the Foothills Learning Centre, Edney Road, High Wycombe. At 7pm. Phone 92996230.
